The Reception Office for Mobile Students, Paris (BAEM), located inside Maison Internationale, provides a wide range of services to foreign and French mobile students. Open all year long, our aim is to help you to prepare your study trip, and to settle into Paris and the suburbs once you arrive. For more information, or to use our services, simply sign up to the BAEM online.
From September to December, the BAEM runs a special welcome service for foreign students.

The BAEM provides you with information and practical assistance to help deal with administrative procedures such as getting a visa, opening a bank account, applying for a resident’s permit, working during your studies, social security, and much more. |

Looking for accommodation |

Since the Cité internationale cannot house all the students who apply for accommodation on site, the BAEM helps you look for rented accommodation in Paris and the Paris region. |

The BAEM has information on work legislation and can put you in touch with specialised job-seeking services. We also carry a select number of job advertisements. |

Mastering French |

Students (masters yr 1 and 2) can take part in our French conversation workshops to help improve their language skills (for a small fee).
The BAEM has many other suggestions on how you can improve your French. |

Visits and meetings |

The BAEM organises meetings with French families, hosts debates and runs guided tours of the Cité internationale and Paris districts. |
