The Theater at the Cité International aims to stay on the cutting edge of the latest trends in the theater scene. The Theater maintains its originality in the pursuit to be a window in Paris for up and coming directors and choreographers from France and beyond. The season opens with a completely renovated space: 3 furnished contemporary rooms that create an artistic setting.

Led by Nicole GAUTIER since 1991, he explores the various forms of contemporary creation: theater, dance including the nouveau cirque, art in plastics, video and music. The rooms and staff available at the Cité are useful in the exchange and sharing of artistic ideas. It also allows for the careful practice and ultimate presentation of works.
Surrounded by the creative environment of the Cité, the Theater helps to support and prepare young artists by partnering with other well known cultural institutions. For example: The Fall Festival in Paris, the National Center for Dance in Pantin, City Theater, Arcadi, the AFAA and the ONDA. Each season the theater schedules shows and offers international productions and festivals.

Thanks to the involvement from scholars and university professors, the theater has developed an interactive setting that involves audience participation. Through conferences, meetings, internships, open rehearsals and lectures, the audience is invited to participate. |
